This year I'm focusing on improving my running and overall health by taking the 2017 Mile Challenge and seeing where the journey takes me. I'm also revisiting the Monthly Challenge started by Nephew Jason in 2009.

2017 miles Day 37

Starting the second week of February ........  How's it goin'?

Music can motivate, relax, calm, excite, inspire ....  I am a firm believer of the effects that music has on mood and motivation.  When I'm on that last mile of a long run and ready to quit - the one thing that keeps me going is music.  There are several motivational songs that I have on my personal playlist that provide that "boost" I need to finish.  Something is triggered in my mind that pushes my body to that next level.  I find an inner strength to continue.

Find music that inspires you.  It's a very personal choice.  Mix it up to keep your mind and body interested.  There is nothing better than having your favorite song help push you through a tough workout.  It just feels good.
